Interview with Oh My Lash lashes

Can you tell us who the brains behind Oh My Lash lashes is and what inspired you to go into the lash industry?

Natalie Cairns – owner of OH MY LASH, being a lash lover myself I really wanted to create something that wasn’t only about the lashes but to try solve a problem when storing them. With OH MY LASH our cases protect the lashes when storing and travelling! I studied level 3 in Beauty Therapy when I was 19 for three years so I know a lot about the beauty industry!

What has been the biggest highlight of your career so far?

Launching in Westfield – Stratford- nothing like seeing your lashes in stores that made it all seem real!

Let’s talk Oh My Lash lashes.. You have a fabulous selection of lashes, was it difficult choosing the styles and names for them?

When creating a brand, I want to stay very true to myself, I wanted the brand to be colourful and fun but also give a luxe feel to the brand (which the rose gold reusable cases do this). We go through so many names when launching a lash but once you find the right one you just know!

Out of your lash collection, which style is your favourite and why?

Date Night is my favourite style, it’s very wispy giving that glam look but it also natural at the same time which is perfect for any occasion! It’s also our best seller and we can see why!

What have you learnt about being a girl boss?

You need to be organised, be disciplined and do soooo much research to keep on top of the game! Be unique and don’t copy anyone else!

Any advice you can give to others on how to start their own beauty business?

Do your research, have a unique brand and you’ll stand out from others!

How would you describe yourself in THREE words?

Approachable, fun & competitive!

What’s the THREE makeup items you can’t live without?

My GLOW setting spray from Primark! (so cheap and gives a dewy finish)

If you could meet ONE beauty guru, who would it be?

Jamie Genevieve- she seems like a fun girl and she's amazing at make up!

Favourite restaurant and your go-to starter dish?

The Ivy Garden is up there! (I love so many though)- Scallops or Calamari!! (love seafood).

How do you like to unwind after a long day?

Watching Youtube videos and eating a lot! :)

Can you tell us what’s next for Oh My Lash?

We have so many amazing new ideas for 2020 with OH MY LASH! The packaging we have coming for our next collections is getting me and my team so excited for what’s next! I can’t give too much away but what I can say is our next collection will be very colourful with a hint of glam. We are also dropping new shapes and looking into invisible band lashes! I personally want to create a more natural collection also along with full glam! We will also be adding to our existing round rose gold collection!
