About KISS

KISS is basically the Beyoncé of falsies. They’re flawless. An American beauty brand, KISS has been shaking up the industry for more than 30 years, bringing you salon-quality lashes without the price. Whether you want natural, wispy, dramatic, or “Oh wow, where did you get your extensions?” KISS has a lash for that.

KISS was founded in 1989 by John Y. Chang, Yong Chang, and Won Shik in Flushing, NY (back then, the tiny start-up was named Dae Do) and manufactured artificial nails. It took only three years before, under the KISS branding, their nails were on sale in Walgreens stores all over the US. Since 2018, its huge headquarters in Port Washington, New York houses a gigantic business complex alongside its very own Research and Innovation Centre.

Applying your KISS Eyelashes Like a Pro!

Applying KISS Lashes doesn’t need to be tricky! Just follow this simple guide, and you can thank us later! KISS products are designed with comfort and ease in mind, so all you need is the right supplies and a little know-how. LFG!

1. Grab Your Lashes

Getting everything you need has got to be the first step. You don’t want to be running around trying to find things half way through the application! So make sure you have your lashes, your lash glue/adhesive and your lash applicator ready to go.

💡Top Tip No. 1 – Eye Shape Awareness

Knowing yourself when it comes to beauty and cosmetics is a big deal. For example, if your eyelids are slightly smaller, you’ll want to go for a shorter (possibly bolder) set of falsies. If your eyelids are longer, you can definitely get away with a long lash. Just be sure to always measure your eye-line correctly for a flawless look!

2. Measure and Trim Your Luscious Lashes

Using your eyelid as a guide, carefully measure your false eyelash and trim any excess (away from your eye, obvs!).

💡Top Tip No. 2 – Apply Makeup First

This is a biggie! Eyelashes are delicate little creatures and tampering or moving false lashes once they are applied can cause havoc. That being said, we would still recommend leaving your liner until after you have popped on your lashes - this is because it helps you finish the edge, creating a sophisticated and elegant look.

3. Apply Your Adhesive 

To apply the lash glue correctly, hold the semi-circular lash between your fingers, gently (facing upwards). You can then take the glue and neatly apply one line in a semi-circular motion.

💡Top Tip No. 3 – Let Your Glue Go Off!

One of the most common mistakes people make is putting them on before letting the glue settle. Freshly applied glue is slimy and slippery, and it won’t stay put easily. Once the adhesive begins to set (within 30 seconds - less if you’re using a quick set!), you can then place it firmly on your eyelid. This will prevent glue-smudging and still give you time to make adjustments.

4. Centre Your Lash

With confidence (steady as possible!), place your eyelash (using the included applicator tweezers) on the centre of your eyelid and press down. You’ll want to stick your lashes on as closely as possible to your eye-line and natural lashes for the best effect. Once pressed in place, you can use your applicator to pull and shape the eyelash to sit in the desired position.
