Your Step-by-Step Guide to a FIRE 2 Part Day-to-Night Time Festival Look!

Tags

If you’re searching for a festival look that’s perfect to take you all the way from the sunrise to the starlight, this is for you!

This is your ultimate guide to an easy daytime look that transitions flawlessly into full glam, ready for a long night! We stock almost everything here, but we’ve named everything you need - so no guesswork required!

Daytime Look: Light, Fresh and Radiant

The key to festival day makeup? Keep it light, keep it breathable and keep it radiant (and selfie ready, obvs). Here’s how…

💡Top tip: Always (always!) apply SPF as the last step of your skincare routine before any makeup. We don’t stock it (yet), but Garnier’s Vitamin C Daily UV Invisible 50+ is my go-to. Wearing makeup on your face doesn’t protect you from UV!

Step 1: Prime for the heat

  • Spritz Catrice Prime And Fine Multi-Talent Fixing Spray before anything else to hydrate and prep your skin.
  • Layer Catrice Glam In Gold Hydrating Primer for that dewy base. If you’re oily, swap for a mattifying or gripping primer.

Step 2: Glow up

  • Apply Essence Drop Of Sunshine Highlighting Drops all over for radiant, lit-from-within skin (if you want to achieve this with a little more coverage, you can try Catrice Cosmetics Soft Glam Filter Stick).

Step 3: Conceal and correct

  • Use Catrice Allround Concealer Palette for lightweight colour correction (under eyes, nose, chin), this allows light, even coverage that can be built on - and stops you applying too much too soon. It's always better to start light and add more than apply too much (which you can’t take away).

💡Top tip: Warm it up on your palm and work into your brush before applying for seamless blendability.

Step 4: Add a flush

  • Dab Essence What A Tint! Lip & Cheek Tint on cheeks and lips. Use a brush for more control and a more even blend - amazing for that fresh ‘no-makeup’ makeup look!

Step 5: Set strategically

  • Dust Catrice Invisible Matte Loose Powder lightly over your T-zone or under-eyes (wherever your problem area is with oils/creasing) using a small fluffy brush.

Step 6: Brows and Lips

  • Essence Make Me Brow Gel Mascara is a quick and easy way to both style and add some colour to your brows (while keeping them fluffy and natural, but styled and tinted).
  • Add a little Essence Soft & Precise Lip Pencil to define your pout (you don’t need to fill them, as they;ll have enough colour from the tint).
  • Finish with Catrice Glossin' Glow Lip Oil in ‘Spill The Tea’ for hydrated, juicy lips (it also helps to keep them hydrated and cared for in the hot weather)!

Step 7: Quick lashes, major payoff

  • Pre-glued clusters are the answer for a quick and super easy application! Clusters avoid the look of a lash band (especially when you’re not ready to apply your eye makeup yet) and keep things natural and fresh while helping you to look more awake! I used 2x pre-glued clusters per eye for a little outer corner lift (half lash effect). The pre-glued clusters apply under natural lashes for a more natural look - here I used a 12mm cluster on the very outer corner and then a 10mm cluster to give a super natural flutter.

💡Top tip: Sunglasses all day? Dust powder on the nose pads to prevent those annoying marks.

Nighttime Look: Rapid Refresh for Evening Drama

Back at the tent and ready to glow up for the night? Let’s go from fresh faced to festival glam without having to start from scratch!

💡Top tip: Spritz with Catrice Fixing Spray to rehydrate and reawaken your makeup. Apply any cream/liquid products while skin is still slightly damp.

Step 1: Build the eye look

  • Use concealer with a brush as your eyeshadow base. To get the best colour pay off, it's best to apply a cream base to your eyelids first (this can be a concealer as used here, or a specific eye makeup primer).

  • Apply Catrice Tiny Treasures Eyeshadow Palette: start with a neutral, then build up with mid-browns.

  • Wing it with Essence Liquid Ink Eyeliner, then smudge over with a mix of dark and mid-tones for a smoky effect.

  • Press on Essence Jelly Jewels Glitter Eyeshadow Topper for sparkle that stays.

  • Tightline with Essence Long Lasting Eye Pencil in ‘Hot Chocolate’.

Step 2: Amp the lashes

  • Stack more Ardell Pre-Glued Clusters: 2x 14mm, 1x 12mm, 1x 10mm, 1x inner corner = full festival flutter (or, remove earlier clusters and start fresh).

Step 3: Sculpt and shine

  • Blend in Catrice Melted Sun Liquid Bronzer to warm up the face.

  • Top up blush with Catrice Blush Affair Palette.

  • Set under eyes with Essence Brighten Up! Banana Powder.

  • Add Catrice Sun Glow Matt Bronzer and Catrice More Than Glow Highlighter for sculpted shimmer.

Step 4: Seal it in

  • Spritz Catrice Ultra Last2 Fixing Spray to lock everything in place.

  • Refresh those lips with Essence Soft & Precise Lip Pencil in ‘Bold’ and Essence Extreme Shine Gloss in ‘Gold Dust’.
