How to Apply Magnetic Lashes
Here at FalseEyelashes.co.uk, we are always keeping up to date with the latest lash related trends and we have recently added Ardell’s amazing range of innovative magnetic lashes to our website. Offering the latest in lash technology, magnetic lashes offer an effortless enhancement, allowing all levels of expertise to add length and volume to their natural lashes in a matter of minutes.
Selecting your style
We have on offer five stunning Ardell magnetic lash styles consisting of three full, strip lash styles and two pairs of accent lashes. Depending on what look you are hoping to achieve, there is certainly a style in our magnetic lash collection to suit you.
For a versatile, wearable lash look no further than the Double Wispies. This design boasts a full, fluttery appearance that is long and voluminous enough for wear on special occasions and completing a glamorous makeup look, yet they are soft enough for day to day wear as well. The slightly longer lash strands in the centre of the band allow for a wide eyed effect, accentuating your eyes in an instant and the textured, wispy finish provides a seamless blend with your natural lashes.
Double Demi Wispies
If you love a wispy lash look, but prefer slightly less length then opt for the Double Demi Wispies style. This style features the same iconic design as the original, hugely popular Demi Wispies but offers twice the volume for a fuller, fluffy finish. The subtle, graduated length allows for a winged out, elongated appearance and the medium volume will transform your eyes with minimal effort required.
Offering the most natural looking length from the full, magnetic strip styles, style Double 110 adds a little lift and volume for a simple yet effective enhancement. The ultra-fine lash strands are layered to create fullness while the doubled up design allows for extra intensity.
Accent lashes are ideal for times you just require a slight touch of length and volume. Style Double 001 gradually increases in length towards each outer edge, providing a natural-looking volume and texture, making them ideal for every day wear.
If you’re a regular wearer of accent lashes, but like the appearance of wispy lash styles, then accent style 002 is a perfect pick. These lightweight lashes gradually increase in length towards each outer edge, and their full, wispy texture allows for a natural-looking enhancement.
How to apply Magnetic Lashes
Applying magnetic lashes takes some time to get used to, however once you have mastered it you will be well on your way to achieving impressive results. Simply follow these few steps to guarantee a seamless blend with your natural lashes, and a flawless finish.
- Apply a coat of mascara to your natural lashes before applying the magnetic lashes.
- Carefully remove the upper lash from tray and gently place it on top of your lashes, ensuring it is as close to your natural lash line as possible.
- Holding the upper lash in place, gently remove the lower lash from the tray and place it underneath your natural lash line until it connects with the upper lash.
How to Remove:
When removing magnetic lashes, don’t pull the lashes straight off, instead use your index finger and thumb to gently use your index finger and thumb to softly slide the magnets away from each other. You can then place the lashes back in their packaging, or in a lash case to protect them until their next use.
Always apply a layer of mascara to your natural lashes before applying magnetic lashes, as the lashes will hold better. Whereas if you apply them directly to your natural lashes, they have a much softer service which may cause the lashes to slide.
Don’t use tweezers to apply the lashes unless they aren’t metal as the magnets will stick to the tweezers making the application process extremely difficult!
Always be careful when handling the lashes.
Magnetic Lash Hack
As well as applying magnetic lashes the normal way, we also listened to customer feedback and decided to experiment ourselves. A common problem many women faced was that the outer and inner edges of the full strip lash styles seemed to slightly stick upwards if they weren’t positioned as securely and tightly to your natural lashes as possible. As a result of our experimenting, we found a solution to this!
Step one: Peel the upper lash from the tray
Step two: Using lash scissors, carefully trim the upper lash directly in half, ensuring you don’t trim any of the magnets off the lash band.
Step three: Position one half of the upper lash on top of your natural lashes, making sure it is as close to your natural lash line as possible.
Step four: Trim the lower lash into two, and apply one half to the upper lash you have already applied.
Step five: Apply the other two halves as normal and repeat previous steps until you have applied both sets of lashes.
Applying the lashes like this allows for a much more secure hold and prevents the outer and inner edges from sticking upwards.
