Affordable, luscious lashes, suitable for any occasion.
If you want to enhance your appearance by increasing the volume and length of your eyelashes, then falsies are an absolute must. Convenient and versatile, they add a touch of glamour and romance to your look by accentuating your eyes.
Believe it or not, people have been styling their eyelashes for centuries, as far back as Ancient Egypt times. Back then, way before the invention of mascara, people experimented by coating their eyelashes in berry juice and even charcoal!
Towards the end of the 19th century, when mascara was still being fine-tuned, the false eyelash trend began to emerge. The earliest false eyelashes were semi-permanent; the process involved taking a hair from your head and sewing it repeatedly through your eyelid in loops, before being snipped to form individual lashes. Thank goodness false eyelashes have evolved since then!
The first strip lashes were actually worn by a Canadian woman, Anna Taylor, in 1911. By the 1930s, Vogue were advertising false lashes made from human hair, and in the 1950s the trend really took off, with falsies frequently worn by Hollywood starlets to accentuate their features on camera. By this time, manufacturers were using synthetic materials, resulting in lower prices to appeal to the masses.

How Ethical Are Bliss Eyelashes?
For all you animal lovers out there, you will be thrilled to discover that Bliss Eyelashes are ethically sourced and handmade using 100% human hair and/or synthetic fibres.
When it comes to false eyelashes, there are several different materials to choose from, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that human hair is one of them. Eyelashes made from human hair are very similar to human hair extensions in terms of the methods used to create them. False eyelashes made using human hair achieve a beautifully natural effect. As you are using a material that already exists on your body, the lashes will blend seamlessly with your own for a truly realistic look.
False eyelashes made from human hair are semi-firm which places them somewhere in-between synthetic and mink eyelashes. They are slightly thicker than mink lashes but lighter and more delicate than synthetic or silk fibre lashes.

How Easy are Bliss Eyelashes to apply?
Super easy! Although false lashes are notorious for being tricky to apply, Bliss Eyelashes have been created to make the application a stress-free process. Follow our step-by-step guide to false eyelash application, which includes tips on how to effectively remove, clean, and store your lashes to increase their longevity.
- Apply makeup and prep your natural lashes. We recommend applying makeup prior to false eyelash application. The less makeup on your falsies, the longer they will last! Apply eyeshadow and liner according to your personal preference, then curl your lashes and apply mascara.
- Trim the lashes to size. Most lashes may require trimming to ensure they fit perfectly to your eye shape. Hold the lashes against your eyelid and use nail scissors to trim sparingly from the outside edge. Be careful not to over-do it. Too short lash strip won’t frame your eyes properly and will end up looking less natural.
- Apply lash glue. Using tweezers or an eyelash applicator, hold the lashes and apply a thin layer of adhesive to the lash band using a cotton bud. It is important not to use too much glue. This makes removal trickier and means your lashes won’t last as long.
- Wait for the glue to dry slightly. We’ll forgive you for not knowing about this top tip, but we guarantee it’s a game-changer! Waiting around 30 seconds for the lash glue to become tacky before application means that the lashes are less likely to slide around when lining them up to your lash line, and you won’t ruin your carefully applied makeup!
- Time to get sticking. Again using tweezers or an eyelash applicator, line the lashes against your eyelids, as close to your natural lash line as possible. Gently apply pressure along the lash band, starting from the outer corner and working in towards your inner eye.
- Adjust the edges. Gently adjust the outer edges of the lashes so they sit securely along your lash line.
- Voila! It’s as simple as that!
How do I remove my Bliss Eyelashes?
- Begin by removing makeup using an oil-free makeup remover such as micellar water.
- Before removing from your eye, gently dab makeup remover over the lash band (you could use a soaked cotton pad or cotton bud).
- Remove lashes by holding the outer corner of the lash base and carefully peeling towards your tear duct.
Should I Clean my Bliss Eyelashes?
Absolutely! Use a cotton pad or cotton bud soaked in oil-free makeup remover to gently rub the lash bands until all traces of adhesive and makeup are dissolved. Gently pat dry with tissues to absorb excess water before storing.
What is the best way to store my Bliss Eyelashes?
- Make sure your lashes are completely dry before storing them.
- Store lashes in the Bliss Eyelash tray and replace the original cover.
- Store in a shaded and dry place.
