Tutorial: Half Skeleton Halloween Makeup Look

Tags

If you want a last minute Halloween makeup look, you’ve come to the right place. In this blog post, we go through a step by step on how to create a half skeleton makeup look. It may look quite complex, but if you follow the below steps, you’ll be amazed at how easy it is.

All you need is:

  • Black and white face paint
  • Black eyeliner
  • Fake blood
  • Grey eyeshadow
  • Defined brush with a precise tip

Paint half of your face white

Tutorial

Step 1

Prep and prime face as normal, and apply foundation and concealer. Pat on light eyeshadow and draw in eyebrows using your desired eyebrow product.

Using LA GIRL white foundation, paint half side of face white. Adding a layer each time it is dry for full coverage. It can take up to three to four applications depending on the colour you want it.

Fill in your water line with black pencil.

step 2 draw outline around eye and fill in with black face paint

Step 2

Without being too neat, outline a patch around your eye with black pencil eyeliner, and fill it with water based black face paint.

Draw 3 lines above your eyebrow. These don’t have to be straight, and you can make them long or short as you’d like. Remember, shading is key to make this look effective.

step 3 outline nose and fill in with black face paint and draw cracks on face

Step 3

Add shading. To do this, we used a light grey eye shadow. By doing this, it helps set the paint / foundation, but also adds effect.

Go in with a black eyeliner, draw cracks in the face and smudge.

Outline the nose with water based black face paint and fill in.

step 4 draw crosses down middle of face and dot to dot them like stitches

Step 4

Draw stitching down the middle of the face. The most effective way to do this is to draw four dots and then dot to dot them using a thin brush that is precise and defined.

step 5 add blood and let is drip

Step 5

Add a thick consistency of blood and let it drip slightly. Lastly, add lashes! In this look, we used Unicorn Cosmetics lashes in style “Apple Sours”.
